Download the APK

Visit our GitHub releases page and download the latest APK file. We recommend the release version for stability.

Enable Unknown Sources

On your Android TV, go to Settings > Security > Unknown Sources. Enable the option to install apps from unknown sources.

Install & Launch

Transfer the APK to your Android TV using a USB drive, ADB, or cloud storage. Open it and follow the installation prompts. Set Arc Launcher as your default home app.

Make It Your Default

Set Arc Launcher as your home screen for the best experience

Method 1: Remap Home Button

The safest way. Use Button Mapper to remap your remote's Home button to launch Arc Launcher instead.

  1. Install Button Mapper from the Play Store
  2. Open Button Mapper and grant Accessibility permission
  3. Select "Home button" from the list
  4. Enable "Customize" and select "Arc Launcher" as the action
Works on most Android TV devices without ADB

Fire TV Devices

We strongly recommend using Laucnher Manager to setup Arc Launcher as your default launcher on Fire TV Devices.

Method 2: Disable Stock Launcher

Advanced users only. Disables the default launcher system-wide using ADB commands.

Warning: You do this at your own risk. Tested on Chromecast with Google TV. May differ on other devices.

# Disable default launcher (CCwGTV)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.google.android.apps.tv.launcherx

# Also disable the fallback launcher
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.google.android.tungsten.setupwraith
Re-enable (if needed) 
adb shell pm enable com.google.android.apps.tv.launcherx
adb shell pm enable com.google.android.tungsten.setupwraith
Known issue: YouTube button may stop working. Remap it with Button Mapper.
